Custom Web Design for South Florida Businesses — Built, Launched and Maintained In-House

Lighthouse Internet Media designs and builds websites for businesses across Miami, Coral Gables and South Florida. Strategy, design, development, launch and maintenance stay with our team—without offshore handoffs.

One accountable team

From first wireframe through launch

Most Lighthouse website projects run about 8 weeks from kickoff to launch. We begin with audience, business goals and sitemap decisions; design the experience; develop and test it on staging; then handle launch, migration and training.

A website is not treated as an isolated visual exercise. It must explain the business clearly, work on the devices customers use, protect existing search visibility and make the next action obvious.

What a Lighthouse build includes

PLT

Purpose-fit platform

WordPress for content-led business websites and WooCommerce or Shopify when product operations are central. We recommend the platform that fits ownership, editing and integration needs.

RWD

Responsive across devices

Every layout is designed mobile-first and tested across current Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge releases at common phone, tablet, laptop and desktop widths.

CWV

Performance foundations

Optimized assets, sensible scripts, efficient templates and Core Web Vitals checks are part of handover. Hosting limitations are identified before they become a launch surprise.

A11Y

Accessibility essentials

Semantic headings, keyboard-friendly navigation, color contrast, descriptive alternative text and properly labeled forms are included as standard foundations.

SEO

SEO-safe migration

Clean headings, editable metadata, schema, XML sitemap and a redirect map for every replaced URL. A redesign that discards earned rankings is a failed migration.

CON

Content options

Your team can supply approved copy and photography, or Lighthouse can produce them as a separate scope. Requirements and deadlines are established during week one.

HND

Training and handover

A live walkthrough or recorded training session, administrator access and ownership details for the site, domain and hosting environment.

Tell us what you find

What makes projects run late? Almost always content—copy and photography arriving after design is ready. We identify every required asset during week one. If you want Lighthouse to produce it, decide at kickoff rather than during development.

Fixed scope, fixed milestones

How we price a website

We quote a fixed project fee after a free 30-minute call and a review of the current site. The written quote normally takes two business days.

  • Number of unique templates—not simply page count
  • Whether content and photography are supplied or produced
  • Ecommerce, booking, member access or system integrations
  • Redesign migration, content transfer and URL redirects
  • Optional hosting and ongoing maintenance
Fit before a sale

When we’re not the right fit

If it must launch in two weeks

A custom build we can responsibly put our name on takes about 8 weeks. A faster result is usually a template implementation, and there are less expensive providers for that.

If nobody can approve the work

Projects stall when content and design feedback take weeks per round. We need one consolidated client voice and timely decisions.

If the goal is copying a competitor

We will learn from the market and build a stronger experience for your business. We will not reproduce another company’s website.

If the website is not the problem

Sometimes the site is sound and the real issue is visibility. We will recommend SEO or paid search instead of selling a rebuild you do not need.

Technical leadership you can name

Who builds your site?

Chief Web Programmer

Amir leads the technical implementation behind Lighthouse WordPress builds, including custom themes, responsive interfaces, performance work, structured content and functionality that cannot be responsibly solved with an off-the-shelf plugin. He remains involved through staging, quality assurance and launch.

Questions buyers ask before a rebuild

Frequently asked questions

How much does a website cost?

We quote a fixed fee after a free 30-minute call. The amount is driven mainly by the number of unique page templates, whether Lighthouse is producing content and photography, and whether ecommerce or custom integrations are required. The written quote normally takes two business days.

How long does a website take to build?

Most business website projects run about 8 weeks from kickoff to launch: discovery and wireframes, visual design, development, quality assurance and launch. The most common source of delay is content or approval arriving late rather than the build itself.

Do I own the website, domain and hosting?

Yes. The domain remains registered in your name, you receive full website administrator access at handover and hosting details are documented. If Lighthouse hosts the site, you can move it elsewhere and we will support an orderly migration. Nothing is held hostage.

Do you build on WordPress or another platform?

Most content-led business websites are built on WordPress because it gives the client practical control without tying the project to a proprietary platform. Ecommerce projects may use WooCommerce or Shopify depending on catalog, checkout, shipping and operational requirements.

Will my redesign lose existing Google rankings?

A properly managed redesign protects existing search equity with a redirect map that sends every valuable old URL to its most relevant new destination. We also preserve important content, metadata and internal links, then monitor Search Console for 30 days after launch.

Do you write the content, or do I?

Either approach is available and priced accordingly. Your team can provide approved copy and images, or Lighthouse can research, write and produce the required assets. We confirm ownership, deadlines and page requirements in week one because late content is the main reason website schedules slip.

What happens after launch?

30 days of fixes for defects in the agreed scope are included after launch. Optional monthly maintenance can cover WordPress and plugin updates, backups, security monitoring and planned small changes. Maintenance is quoted separately and is not required to retain ownership.

Can you redesign my existing website instead of rebuilding it?

Often, yes. If the current content system and underlying code are sound, a front-end redesign can be more efficient than a full rebuild. We review the existing site first and explain which approach offers better long-term value.

Do you build ecommerce websites?

Yes. We build ecommerce experiences with WooCommerce and Shopify, including product structure, checkout configuration, common payment gateways, shipping rules and selected inventory or operational integrations.

Will the website be accessible and mobile-friendly?

Every build is designed mobile-first and tested at common phone, tablet, laptop and desktop widths. Accessibility foundations include semantic structure, keyboard-friendly navigation, contrast checks, image alternative text and form labels. Formal compliance auditing beyond the agreed scope can be quoted separately.
