SEO Services for Miami & South Florida Businesses

Technical fixes, local search, content and authority building - with a monthly report you can actually read.

Lighthouse Internet Media runs search engine optimization for businesses across Miami, Coral Gables and South Florida. We handle the technical work, the local search presence, the content, and the authority building, and we report on all of it monthly. This page covers how we work, what you receive each month, how we price engagements, and when we tell people SEO isn’t the right investment yet.

01
Who this is for

Who we work with

Most of our SEO clients are service businesses across South Florida - home services, legal, HVAC, home inspection, industrial and e-commerce. They typically come to us in one of three situations: a site that was built well but never optimized, a site that used to rank and stopped, or a business that’s been buying leads and wants to own the channel instead.

We work best with businesses that can commit to six months and can spare about an hour a month for review. SEO is not a set-and-forget service, and the engagements that fail are almost always the ones where nobody on the client side had time to answer questions.

02
How we work

Our SEO process, month by month

01
Weeks 1–2

Technical and content audit

We start with a full crawl of your site and a manual review of every page that matters commercially. We’re looking for the things that quietly cap a site’s ceiling: pages competing against each other for the same term, thin pages that dilute the whole domain, crawl waste, broken internal linking, missing or wrong schema, and Core Web Vitals failures. We benchmark all of it against three to five competitors you name.

You receive: a written audit with every issue ranked by impact and effort, not a 200-page automated PDF nobody reads.

We need: Google Search Console, GA4 and CMS access.

02
Weeks 2–3

Keyword and intent mapping

We map every commercial search term to a specific URL - one page, one primary intent. This is the step most agencies skip, and it’s why so many sites end up with four pages half-ranking for the same phrase instead of one page ranking properly.

Before we do it, we ask which of your services actually make you money. Ranking for a service with thin margins is a waste of everyone’s budget, and we’d rather know on day one.

You receive: a keyword-to-URL map showing what each page is meant to rank for, what it currently ranks for, and what needs to change.

We need: 30 minutes on the phone about your margins.

03
Weeks 3–6

Technical remediation

We fix what the audit found, in impact order: crawl and index issues first, then site speed, then schema, then internal linking architecture. Where the fix needs developer work we either do it ourselves or write the ticket for your developer in enough detail that they can execute it without a meeting.

You receive: a before-and-after report on Core Web Vitals and index coverage.

We need: dev access, or an introduction to whoever has it.

04
Month 2 onward

On-page and content

We rewrite the pages already close to ranking before we write anything new - it’s faster and cheaper than starting from zero. New pages come after, built against the gaps the audit found. Every page is drafted, sent to you for subject-matter review, and published only once you’ve approved it.

You receive: drafts before publication, always. Nothing goes live on your site that you haven’t read.

We need: about an hour a month of review from someone who knows the work.

05
Month 2 onward

Local and authority

For local visibility: Google Business Profile optimization, category and service accuracy, citation cleanup across the directories that still matter, and location pages where you genuinely serve multiple areas. For authority: we pursue links that would send you a customer even if search engines didn’t exist - local press, industry associations, supplier and partner pages, sponsorships.

We don’t buy links, and we don’t use link networks. Not because we’re precious about it - because we’ve cleaned up after enough sites that did.

You receive: a monthly log of every link and citation acquired, with the URL.

06
Every month

Report and adjust

One report, delivered by the 10th, followed by a 30-minute call. We review what moved against the targets set in the mapping phase, what didn’t, and what we’re changing as a result. If something isn’t working we say so on that call rather than in month six.

03
Complete optimization

The four SEO disciplines

01

Local SEO

Local SEO is what puts you in the map pack when someone within a few miles searches for what you sell. We optimize your Google Business Profile - categories, services, attributes, hours, photos, and the review response cadence that most businesses abandon after a month - then clean up your name, address and phone across the citation sources that still carry weight. Where you legitimately serve several areas, we build location pages with genuinely different content on each. Where you don’t, we don’t, because thin doorway pages for cities you’ve never worked in are a liability, not an asset.

02

On-page optimization

We write title tags and meta descriptions by hand. Every one. Plugin-generated descriptions truncate mid-sentence and waste the only line of copy you control in the search results. Beyond that: one H1 per page, a heading outline that actually describes the sections beneath it, opening paragraphs that answer the question the page is about before they sell anything, and internal links that put every commercial page within three clicks of your homepage.

03

Off-page and authority

Authority comes from being genuinely known in your market, and the link profile is a reflection of that rather than a substitute for it. We pursue local press, industry associations, chambers, supplier and partner sites, and sponsorship pages - placements that would be worth having even with no SEO value attached. We also monitor unlinked brand mentions and ask for the link, which is the cheapest authority available to most businesses and the one nobody does.

04

Technical SEO

Technical SEO is the part that determines whether any of the rest can work. We handle crawl error and broken link resolution, XML sitemap structure, schema implementation, page speed and Core Web Vitals, HTTPS and security headers, and the duplicate-content and canonical issues that quietly waste crawl budget on large sites. On WordPress sites specifically, most of the speed problem is usually plugin bloat and unoptimized images rather than hosting, and we’d rather fix that than sell you a migration.

04
Clear deliverables

What you get each month

A written monthly report covering organic traffic, keyword position changes, conversions, and what we did - in plain language, not a dashboard export

A 30-minute call to walk through it

N new or rewritten pages, drafted for your approval before publication

A log of every link and citation acquired, with URLs

Technical fixes as they’re identified, not batched into a quarterly release

Direct access to the person doing the work, not an account manager relaying messages

05
Transparent scoping

How our SEO pricing works

We price SEO engagements monthly, on a six-month minimum, because meaningful results can’t be delivered in less time and we’d rather turn down the work than take a three-month engagement everyone regrets.

What moves the price up:

  • How competitive your vertical is. Personal injury in Miami is a different scale of problem than a home inspection company in a single suburb.
  • How much content the plan requires each month.
  • Whether link acquisition and digital PR are included or we’re focused on technical and on-page only.
  • The state of the site we’re starting from - a site needing significant developer work costs more in the first two months.
  • How many locations or service areas you’re targeting.

What we won’t do: price by hours, or bill for a report nobody reads. You’re paying for deliverables and outcomes, and the scope is written down before you sign.

We’ll give you an exact monthly figure after a 30-minute call and a look at your site. It takes us about two days to come back with a scope and a number, and there’s no charge for either.

06
Honest recommendations

When we tell people not to hire us

SEO is the wrong first investment in a few situations, and we’d rather say so upfront than take six months of retainer to find out together.

If you need leads in the next 60 days.

SEO doesn’t work on that timeline. Paid search does. We’ll point you there, and we’d rather you come back to SEO in a quarter with a business that’s still running.

If your site needs to be rebuilt.

Optimizing a site that’s about to be replaced is money spent twice. Rebuild first, with SEO involved in the planning so the new site doesn’t lose what the old one earned.

If nobody on your side has an hour a month.

We can write about your business, but we can’t be an expert in it. The engagements that underperform are almost always the ones where our questions went unanswered for weeks.

If you’re expecting a guaranteed position.

Nobody can promise a #1 ranking. Google doesn’t sell placement, results shift daily, and any agency guaranteeing a position is either working an uncompetitive niche or misleading you. What we commit to is the work, the cadence, and honest reporting on whether it’s working.

Common questions

SEO services FAQ

SEO pricing depends on how competitive your vertical is, how much content the plan requires, and whether link building is included - we scope it after a call and a look at your site, usually within two days, at no charge. What we can tell you upfront is that we work on a six-month minimum and price monthly rather than hourly. See “How our SEO pricing works” above for what moves the number up or down.

Technical improvements usually register in Search Console within four to six weeks, while competitive commercial terms typically start moving around month three to four and compound from there. A newer site in a competitive vertical takes longer - budget six to nine months before organic search is a meaningful lead source. Anyone promising faster is either working an easy niche or not being straight with you.

Yes - a six-month minimum term, because SEO can’t produce meaningful results in less time and a shorter commitment sets everyone up to fail. After the initial term the engagement continues month to month with 30 days’ notice. Everything we build is yours whether you stay or leave.

Local SEO makes you visible to people searching near you - Google Business Profile, the map pack, citations and location pages. Technical SEO makes your site crawlable, fast and correctly structured so it can rank at all. Most local service businesses need technical problems fixed first, because local optimization on a site Google struggles to crawl doesn’t get very far.

Content is researched and prepared by our digital marketing team, then reviewed and edited for accuracy, clarity and search intent. Every page is sent to you for subject-matter review before publication.

Yes - every page we write, every asset we produce, and every account we set up belongs to you. We work inside your Google Business Profile, Search Console and Analytics rather than creating our own, so if the engagement ends you keep the history along with everything else.

No, and no agency legitimately can - Google doesn’t sell placement and results move daily. We commit to the scope, the monthly cadence, and telling you honestly when something isn’t working. If an agency has guaranteed you a position, ask them what happens contractually when they miss it.

Access to Google Search Console, GA4 and your CMS, plus roughly an hour a month for subject-matter review. If you don’t have Search Console or Analytics set up, we’ll do it in week one. Beyond that we need one person who can answer questions about the business and approve content.

Clear answers, verifiable expertise, structured content and strong brand signals matter more, while simple informational searches may generate fewer clicks. We prioritize original, commercially useful content that gives searchers a reason to visit and contact the business.

Yes. Our local search work is strongest in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach, where we know the market and the local press, but technical and content work isn’t geographically limited.
The first step

Start with an audit

The first step is always the audit - a full crawl, a manual review of your commercial pages, and a benchmark against the competitors you name. You get the written findings whether or not you hire us for the work.
